Here are the Q’s and A’s too:
1: Have you committed yourself to follow the ADJA code of professional conduct?
A: Yes! The standard code of ethics set by the ADJA were ingrained in our moral standards long before we joined the association. We are proud to follow these standards of the ADJA and challenge others in the industry to do so as well.
2: Are you insured? Can you supply us with proof of liability?
A: Yes! Insurance is a part of any legitimate business. We can provide proof of Liability and Casualty insurance on request. We wont perform without it.
3: Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time?
A: Yes! You will have access to our entire library online ahead of time. You can select the songs you like and we will play off your list at the event, adding in your guests requests along the way. As long as the song is not on your “Do Not Play” list, anything goes. We can cover every format and every era from the mid 20s to today. The selection is huge
4: Do you use professional equipment?
A: Yes! Our gear is top quality and rack mounted for quick setup and neat appearance. We have recently upgraded most of our equipment. It is all digital and the quality is outstanding. You wont see cables everywhere and it sounds amazing.
5: Do you provide backup equipment at my event?
A: Yes! We carry an entire set of backup equipment on site just in case something breaks down. Can you imagine what would happen if we had to go back to the office to fix a problem? Your event is to important to risk it. We can handle small issues or major melt downs “The party never stops”.
6: Does your entertainer know the proper etiquette for your type of party?
A: Yes! We understand etiquette, tradition and the age appropriate nature of your event. We can work with you on the feel and attitude you want to give your event. We can even make suggestions based on experience. Everyone will have a great time. We also have clean edits on all the most popular songs.
7: How much time do you allow for set up?
A: 1 hour minimum. In most cases, we will be there at least one hour before your event. We really only need about 25 minutes to set up. The extra time allows for unexpected issues the site may offer, trouble shooting and overall quality control. We always want to be ready and playing when your guests arrive.
8: Do you provide a written contract?
A: Yes! We use an industry standard agreement that is more than fair for both parties. Our insurance actually requires a contract and we will not perform without it. We require a retainer to secure your event and offer several payment plans to suit your needs. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal too.
9: Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?
A: Yes! From the most formal black tie event to back yard casual. You decide what we will wear. We never wear jeans (unless it’s a sock hop and you want us in character).
10: Do you belong to professional organization or trade group?
A: We are a member of the American DJ association and are active in the local New England Chapter here at home. This is important because it helps us learn and challenge ourselves, to network with others and to receive support. This also benefits you by providing increasingly higher calibers of service, performance, talent and professionalism. We are proud members of The New England Chapter of the ADJA.
11: What advice would you give to someone who has never hired a DJ before?
A: Consider what is most important element of your event. If want your friends and family to have a great time spending a little more on entertainment will go along way. Ask anyone “How was the last wedding you went to?” The answer usually starts with “THE DJ WAS!”. I understand budget needs. You have to balance price with one key element; “Will the DJ you hire fit in with the style and feel you want to give your event?”
12: How can I learn more?
A: Yes, there is more. Give us a call. There is no obligation. We can sit down and discuss your day and see if what we have to offer will work for you. Call 860.966.5620 or email us and well call you.
